Naturist Thought #52 – Comments

Comments towards naturism and nudism are sometimes negative and really mean. Their purpose is to just to denigrate this lifestyle and the human body. This continues to mix sexuality and nudity, to make naturists perverts. Why some people disrespect our lifestyle? Because they are afraid! Afraid of a world where people would be kind and respectful, and where they could not rant.

People who are posting nasty and even violent comments are themselves nasty and violent. They think the world cannot be kind and nonviolent. They put a label on others because their world is made of labels. So, what to do with nasty and violent comments? Ignore most of the time, report if possible when too violent and mean.

But overall, pity, forgive and move on. Don’t try to educate or explain to them what naturism is about, better spend time explaining to people who are respectful and hope they will join. There are always be and will probably always be, mean and nasty people, don’t make it personal, it’s not against you, they justify their fears by blaming others. Apply the saying, sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me.

  1. I have a co-worker that refuses to understand it’s not about sex.
I gave him the AANR website to helps him see the error of his ways.
He refused to look at the website, he can’t put things like that on his phone.
He his also a believer in “fake news”….

    • thank you Bryce for your comment. There are people who just don’t want to make efforts to understand. Just respect their point of view as long as they respect yours.

  2. Sadly, the sticks and stones traditional saying is untrue. Hard words can and do hurt, insidiously, and contribute to loss of self-worth and anxiety and depression.
I speak as one who knows, only too well.
