Today, we are inaugurating our series of naturist couples interview, and we welcome Kim and Thurston, a naturist couple from the United States!
Hi Kim and Thurston, let’s start with going right into the topic: was there a first naturist who introduced the other to naturism?
I (Thurston) discovered it on my own when I was about 12 yrs old.
How did your discovery of naturism happen?
I (Thurston) found a nudist magazine when I was 12 but had been curious for a couple years already.
Thurston, how did you explain what naturism was to Kim?
I told her about six months after we first met by email and phone.
And what was her reaction?
She was very curious about it, especially home nudity.
Did you ask Kim to join you?
Yes, she was quite willing at home but reluctant to do it socially.
Currently, do any of you happen to practice naturism without your significant other?
Never, we always practice together.
When you’re together, where do you practice naturism?
At home, in naturist centers and in nature.
Are there naturist practices one does and the other does not?
Yes, Kim doesn’t always hike nude with me as she has a strong fear of poisons, insect bites, and plants.
What effect(s) has naturism on your relationship?
It made it much stronger and closer.
Has the lock down had any effect of your naturism practice?
Yes, we were both working nude from home.
Are you sharing that you are naturists with your friends and families?
Yes.
And what is their reaction?
Family is accepting saying if we are happy they are happy for us. Our friends have accepted it with some curiosity. I have also told some co-workers and some business associates.
Would you advise naturists to be open with their naturism to others?
Yes. It’s about being honest and it gives us an opportunity to ask them to join us.
What benefits do you see and experience in naturism as a couple?
It has given us both more trust and respect for each other.
What advice would you give to other couples whose only one member, or none, is a naturist?
Be patient, respectful, do not try to force them to join you. Let them see how happy you are when nude. Express how enjoyable it is socially if allowed to socialize nude with others on your own time.
Thank you so much for your time, Kim and Thurston, do you have any final comments to add about living naturism as a couple?
We would both like to see public nudity where appropriate be acceptable.

Iyes… understand it perfectly well, it unites you to your partner, girlfriend, boyfriend, or wife, husband more, and if they share it, it unites you more spiritually and socially, having more confidence in your partner and sharing things together, giving you more desire to stay home than to do other things.
So so very true. It definitely has enhanced our lives immensely !! We plan as much nude social time as we can. We also work nude from home as much as possible.
