From the UK, let’s cross the Channel and head to another kingdom: Belgium, where we meet one of the most famous naturist couples, Lins and Nick from Naked Wanderings.

Lins, Nick, thank you very much for having accepted to be featured on this series of naturist couple’s interviews. Let’s go right to naturism, was there a first naturist who introduced the other to naturism?

No, we were not naturist before we met, but decided to explore it as a couple.

How did your discovery of naturism happen?

Well, we got a coupon for a wellness center, which happened to be clothing prohibited… This is how it started!

Do any of you happen to practice naturism without your significant other?

Given our traveling lifestyle, we always practice naturism together.

When you’re together, where do you practice naturism?

At home, in naturist centers, at friends, in nature, on naturist beaches, during events and gathering, and well everywhere we can be naked.

Are there naturist practices one does and the other does not?

No.

What effect(s) has naturism on your relationship?

We’re not sure, as the pre-naturism part of our relationship was pretty short. But since we’re still together, naturism definitely didn’t have a negative effect.

Has the lock down had any effect of your naturism practice?

Oh yes! Normally we travel from one naturist place to another, while we have been stuck at the same place for months. The positive side is that we’ve been nude pretty much 24/7 during the last 3 months. To give you an example, we travel with enough clothes for 1 textile week. During the last 3 months, we’ve done laundry once.

Are you sharing that you are naturists with your friends and families, and what is their reaction?

Yes. Overall positive, some curious.

Would you advise naturists to be open with their naturism to others?

Maybe. This completely depends on where you’re from and what your background is. For the large majority, we would have answered “yes,” because people (including our younger selves) think that the responses will be more negative than they will actually be. And you don’t have to live with a secret. However, there are cases where it’s better not to tell. Strong religious families, for example. We’ve also heard about cases where people lost their job for “sexual harassment” because they told their colleagues about naturism.

What benefits do you see and experience in naturism as a couple?

It creates more openness and honesty in a relationship and removes things like jealousy.

What advice would you give to other couples whose only one member, or none, is a naturist?

This is very personal and we don’t think that there’s a one that suits all answer to this question.

Thank you very much Lins and Nick to have shared your naturist life and thoughts, and agreed to be featured on Nude and Happy. I wish you a wonderful naturist future and I hope this has helped readers to better understand how naturism can be beneficial to couples. Readers can find you online on your web site, Naked Wanderings, and on Instagram. Worth mentioning also that Lins and Nick have written a guide for first-time naturists and several naturist travel guides, that you will find very useful to plan your next naturist holidays!
